Description
This is a 63mm x 2mm thick stormproof hinge in 316 marine grade stainless steel. The hinge has a plain knuckle, square corners and a staggered hole pattern. Stormproof hinges are most commonly used on side hung timber windows where the sash closes over the frame which requires a cranked 90 degree hinge. They pivot the casement away from the frame due to the rebate that would otherwise bind to the frame. This type of stormproof hinge can also be used top hung windows, depending on the profile, for maximum wind protection
