Description
Fitting Instructions:
Threshold Section
Remove rubber seals from the aluminium sill section. Check width between outside faces of the doorframe rebate and cut the aluminium section to this size.
Cut the rubber seal longer than the aluminium section to allow seal to extend into the kwikfit lugs and re-insert into the groove in sill. Attach kwikfit lugs to each end of the sill.
This sill requires an under door clearance of 20mm. If necessary, remove door and trim to allow for this ensuring bottom of door is smooth to avoid damage to rubber seal.
Position the assembled sill between the doorframe and mark fixing points through countersunk holes. Remove sill, drill fixing holes and insert plugs.
Apply sealing compound to underside groove at front of sill and around kwikfit lugs. Ensure rubber seal at rear is in place and screw sill into place.
Deflector Section
Remove rubber seals, close the door to which the deflector is fitted and measure the distance between the doorframe rebates on the outside.
Using a fine toothed hacksaw, cut the aluminium 6mm shorter to allow for protective weather deflecting end-caps.
Cut seals to length, insert and carefully install end-caps on to the deflector. This must be done before the deflector is fitted to the door.
Now screw into position, leaving adequate clearance for smooth operation of the door. Ensure fixing screws are inserted within 25mm (1") of the edges of the door. (Drill extra holes if necessary).
